We Dear to Dream! , Poetry
We are the voices of the future generation shouting loud our joyous aspirations let our voices be heard by many, for we believe that in our hands the future can be free. We are the hands of the future generation, painting now the picture of tomorrow we commit ourselves to build a better world a world of peace and unity in diversity. 'Cause we dare to dream tomorrow, today and we hold the future in our hands. Imaging a world free of fear free of hate, war and disunity. We dream of a sustainable future an education accessible to all a government responsive to the people a stable family, raised from the poverty a culture respected, enhanced morality. Every Teacher Matters! , Essay
Dear Alumni, You will be pleased to know that Roots National Institute of Teacher Training & Education RNITTE recently organised a 3 Day Teacher Development Conference 2007 at Islamabad Club Auditorium from August 7th, 2007 to August 9th, 2007. The 3 day Conference was attended by all the Full/Part Time faculty members, Academic staff & Coordinators, Montessori directresses, Career counselors, Head Office leadership, Examination and Resource Officers and the Branch Heads of RSS. The Conference on the theme "Every Teacher Matters" enlightened the importance of a Teacher in our schools today. No other personality can have an influence more profound than that of a teacher. During the course of the conference Roots School System argued that education and curriculum reforms cannot be unilaterally imposed on teachers and schools. Teachers must endorse new roles and responsibilities, and be provided time and resources to implement reforms. Schools depend on cooperation and interdependence among staff members, so plans for comprehensive change must be consistent with existing norms. There must also be supportive conditions such as leadership among teachers and administrators, Branch Head cooperation, and willingness on the part of academic administrators to cede some of their responsibilities to teachers. Teachers and teacher educators do not work in isolation, nor are they merely skilled laborers. They are part of a global profession and have the responsibility to recognize their interdependence and become connected to ensure that all people have access and opportunity to participate in the global marketplace of cross-cultural education and ideas. RSS recognizes the global nature of the profession of teaching and encourages policy development and implementation along with activities of members, faculty, and students that promote the use of a global perspective in decision making in the profession. As the world has shifted to a more visual world, teachers need to incorporate more visuals into their instruction to effectively reach students. The students are not as apt to learn from auditory stimuli as they would from illustrations or a combination of approaches. RSS promotes creativity and ideas sharing so that all students respond positively to opportunities and responsibilities and are better able to cope with new challenges as well as change and adversity. We may define good teaching as instruction that leads to effective learning, which in turn means thorough and lasting acquisition of the knowledge, skills, and values the instructor or the institution, has set out to impart. During the 3 day Conference, Professional speakers benefitted us with their experienced knowledge concerning the diverse skills and worth of a teacher. The basic purpose of this conference is to enable the RSS teachers to be acquainted with their responsibilities and role in the school community and its surroundings. This Conference facilitated in understanding, revolutionizing and ameliorating the role of a teacher. EVERY TEACHER MATTERS!!! Confernce Objectives: •Re-Defining Responsibilties of a teacher •Understanding Social behaviour of the teacher in the classroom •Acknowleding Character Building & Moral Education •Authoring Quality awareness and self-evaluation techniques •Realising Professional freedom and practice of a Teacher •Facilitating Teacher Student Relationship •Enhancing student achievements by improving leadership •Utilization of Technology and Global Teaching Resources •Understanding benefits knowledge and Information sharing •Demonstrating leadership through role play and team work •Teacher Motivation and participation Initiatives •Forging academic partnerships for the benefit of students •Benefiting from RSS curriculum and teaching reforms •Using world wide web (www) and ICT Resources in support of teaching •Reflective and accountable teaching •Key Expections and appraisals for Teachers •Teacher Development and Progression •Re-defining teaching for the benefit of our students •Reailsing the significance of national, religious, social and moral value education •Managing parent – student – teacher triangular relationship •Re-thinking role of teachers and realsing globalization in education "If we can't look after the people who look after the children, who's going to look after the children?" How Can I… , Poems

How can I forget the time,
We have spent together.

How can I forget those wonderful days,
That are no more.

How can I forget the joys,
We had together.

How can I those two hearts,
That lived in one soul.

How can I forget the paths,
We used to go through.

How can I forget the promises,
We made to each other.

How can I forget those words,
That are heard no more.

How can I forget your smile,
Which always made me shine.

How can I forget all those things,
When I haven't forgotten you.
