FAQ on ACCA & CIMA Courses

Tell us about your courses?

We have been offering professional accountancy courses at Roots College International for over 5 years and currently have a team of highly experienced and professionally qualified tutors plus other subject specialists delivering the courses.

The CIMA qualification is highly regarded by employers and is most suitable if you wish to develop a career in management accounting.

The ACCA course is also highly regarded by employers and because we offer an internally assessed version this allows students to develop and enhance their soft/transferable skills that will increase their employability.

What are your entry requirements?

The minimum entry qualification to join the ACCA course is two ‘A’ Levels and three GCSEs or equivalent in five separate subjects, including English and Mathematics. However if you are over 21 years you can be admitted to the course as a mature student without any academic qualifications.

Student membership of CIMA is open to all, regardless of your educational background. This flexible entry policy enables anyone to join the Certificate in Business Accounting. However, you must be competent in Mathematics and the English Language on admission. Completion of the five papers included within the Certificate in Business Accounting provides an entry route to the CIMA Professional scheme.

For both courses, if you already hold another finance qualification such as AAT or you are a relevant graduate then you may enter the course directly at year two, or even year three in some cases if you already have an accounting degree.
